The first Girls Volleyball rankings of the 2026-2027 season are out, dated 8/25/2026 and produced by the Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association, and our Michigan powers are already staking their claims. In Division 1, Farmington Hills Mercy sits atop the mountain at No. 1, with Bloomfield Hills Marian right behind at No. 2 and Byron Center at No. 3. Down the ladder the pecking order rounds out with South Lyon East, Grand Haven, Utica Eisenhower, Hudsonville, Bloomfield Hills, Clarkston, and Orchard Lake St Mary's holding down the rest of the Division 1 top ten. That is a loaded field, and the group chat has plenty to argue about. The smaller divisions bring their own contenders — Grand Rapids Christian leads Division 2, Saginaw Valley Lutheran heads Division 3, and Adrian Lenawee Christian owns the top line in Division 4. Every corner of the state is represented, and there is a whole season ahead to shake these lists up.
