All-Star break over as Tigers head to Texas

The Detroit Tiger's are in the midst of a 5 game losing streak having lost in the finale vs Tampa Bay in that series, then getting swept at home by the Seattle Mariners prior to the All-Star break.

Don't look now but they lost Friday nights opener to the 2nd half at Texas 2-0!  They still remain 11 games in front of Cleveland and Minnesota as they play their 99th game of the season tonight in game 2 of the Rangers series.

In the losing streak they have been outscored 44-17!  That equates to almost 9-3 on average final score!  Prior to this swoon Detroit had won 5 straight and outscored Cle/TB 19-6 in those victories!  So time will tell but this team has remained steady and has won most series all season!

The first full team practice for the 2025-26 season
is Sunday July 20th in Allen Park

The Rookies reported this past week and the Veterans reported today as Dan Campbell and the Lions will be  in their first full team practice Sunday July 20!   High expectations are on tap again for a team that went 15-2 last season and were the top seed in the NFC Playoffs!  That didn't fare so well as the upstart Washington Commanders upset the highly favored Lions to end their season!

It will be an interesting preseason as the Lions are replacing both their Offensive and Defensive coordinators so that will take time to mesh.  Also they have some key injuries returning to play with question marks surrounding them.  They open preseason on July 31 in Canton, Ohio playing in the Hall of Fame Game!

Men's Hoop to play Duke in 2026 season for first time in 13 years!

The Michigan Men's Basketball team announced that they will play in the "Duel in the District" on

Saturday Feb. 21 at Capital One Arena in Washington D.C.

The last meeting was on Dec. 4 in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge when Duke beat Michigan 79-69.  The Wolverines trail in the series to Duke 8-22.

It should be a good end of the regular season matchup for the Wolverines and coach Dusty May near the end of the BIG Schedule.
