Tigers Open a Pivotal 10-Game Stretch Tonight, 9 Back in the Central

It feels like just yesterday that catchers, pitchers and rookies reported to Lakeland back in February, and here we are at the end of August with our Tigers sitting in 4th place in the Central. Nine games back of the Chicago White Sox is a mountain, and there's no dressing it up any prettier than that. But tonight (Aug 31) is where it gets interesting: Detroit opens a 10-game stretch against Minnesota and Cleveland, and this is the kind of run that either keeps our September dreams alive or quietly closes the door on them. Ten games, two division rivals, and a chance to claw back into a race that a lot of folks already wrote off. That's the beauty of a stretch like this — you play your way into relevance or you don't, and there's no middle ground. So let's ride with the boys through this one and see what our Tigers are made of. — Patrick
