It was a rough Saturday night at home, folks. Nebraska came into East Lansing on September 26th and left with a 31-13 win over our Spartans, jumping ahead 24-10 by halftime and never looking back on BTN. Anthony Colandrea sliced us up for 212 yards and two first-half touchdowns, and Vincent Genatone found the end zone twice to bury any comeback hopes. The part that stings most: the MSU defense couldn't get home once, failing to record a single sack or turnover, while Nebraska's front pinned the Spartans with six sacks and forced three turnovers. Williams Nwaneri alone had two of those sacks. MSU managed only 252 total yards, and Alessio Milivojevic's 208 passing yards came with two costly giveaways. Worse yet, Michigan States top back Cam Edwards, the senior transfer from UConn, went down with a right leg injury in the first quarter and returned on crutches with a big brace on his knee. Jaziun Patterson gave us a spark with 54 yards and a score, but it wasn't nearly enough. MSU drops to 2-2, 0-1 in the Big Ten, and now visit Wisconsin next Saturday looking to bounce back.
