Michigan Wolverines

This page will provide direct attention to the athletics at the University of Michigan!  We will try to provide insight on the teams in season with recaps and updates on the current games.  We also will look ahead to some upcoming games.  Occasionally we will do some articles that will highlight some of the athletes!

Wolverines sweep MSU over weekend, head to Columbus! 

Michigan baseball sits at 27-17 overall and 11-10 and 7th place in conference play after getting a weekend Sweep over in state rival MSU 8-2, 9-2 and 6-5!  This comes after being swept vs 1st place Iowa last weekend in a home 3 game series!  Riding a 4 game winning streak Michigan will head to Columbus this coming weekend (May 2-4) to take on the last place Buckeyes(11-30 ovrl; 3-18 Conf.)!

The 4 new comers to the BIG Conference UCLA, Oregon, USC and Washington sit in 2-5 spots in the BIG Standings just ahead of Illinois and Michigan!

Wolverines tie program record with 3 players drafted in 1st round of NFL Draft!

This weekend was the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin and the Michigan Wolverines had a record tying round 1!  Thursday night in front of 125,000 announced fans the Michigan Wolverines were well represented on that night as 3 players were selected!  Mason Graham(#55) was selected 5th overall by the Cleveland Browns!  Colston Loveland(#18) was selected 10th by the Chicago Bears and Kenneth Grant(#78) was selected by the Miami Dolphins with the 13th pick!  All together UM had 7 players drafted on the 3 day event!

This matched the 1995 draft when Ty Wheatley, Ty Law and Trezelle Jenkins were all picked in the 1st round.  Also in 2001 David Terrell, Steve Hutchinson and Jeff Backus were also 1st rounders!

Michigan looks to avoid sweep by UCLA today in 1pm first pitch at Ann Arbor!

UM Softball has been in a league tail spin here as of late losing 3 at Ohio St last weekend and having lost the first 2 games here at home vs the UCLA Bruins!  They will take the field today at 1pm to try to avoid the sweep at Carol Hutchins Field. 

You can watch all the action on BIG+ today!  It is Fan Appreciation day today at the field so make your way out there  and support the ladies! 

The Wolverines sit at (32-17 overl; 9-9 Conf) and in 8th place in the BIG!
