This page will provide direct attention to the athletics for the Michigan State Spartans! We will try to provide insight on the teams in season with recaps and updates on the current games. We also will look ahead to some upcoming games. Occasionally we will do some articles that will highlight some of the athletes!
MSU Football just misses at Minnesota
in OT losing 23-20
The MSU football team continues it's free fall as they have lost 6 straight all in BIG Ten play. Last Saturday the Spartans seemed ready to get their first victory in Minneapolis! Leading 17-10 with under 2 minutes to play in the game the Gophers tied the game up and pulled the victory from the Spartans 23-20!
In the OT session MSU scored first with a FG to take the 20-17 lead but Minnesota answered with a drive inside the MSU 5 yard line where Gophers QB Drake Lindsey ran 3 yards to the pylon and sent MSU to its 6th straight defeat.
The Spartans outgained the Gophers 467-301 on the day!
MSU will host the Penn State Nittany Lions on Nov. 15 at 3:30pm! The Spartans are enjoying the much needed BYE Weekend this week!

MSU handles Colgate now preps for Arkansas Saturday Nov. 8 at 7pm on FOX
The MSU Men's Basketball team beat Colgate and is now prepping for a home game Saturday Nov. 8 at 7pm on FOX vs Arkansas!
This will be the first of many tests that Coach Izzo plans for his team to prep them for the tough BIG Schedule! This game will prelude the Tuesday Nov. 18 game at 6:30pm in New York at Madison Square Garden vs the Kentucky Wildcats!
This is just the start to what should be another fun hoop season at the Breslin and around the country for the Spartans!
