This section we will cover the local Michigan High School teams as they play during their school seasons every Fall, Winter and Spring! We will highlight games and teams who are having successful seasons. We will also keep up with Team Rankings with our Top teams! to get out and watch!!
Quarterfinals set for tonight
across the State!
Some exciting games in D1 tonight in the Quarterfinals of the State Tournament!
The University of Detroit Calihan Hall will host a double-header as Wayne Memorial will play Brother Rice at 5:30pm followed by Avondale taking on Roseville at 7pm!
In D2 we have Mt. Pleasant HS hosting Ludington vs Freeland at 7pm while Ypsilanti Lincoln HS will host Chelsea vs Romulus Summit Academy North.
The D3 Quarters are set as Pewamo-Westphalia vs Schoolcraft at Robert Quiring Gym in Kalamazoo at 7pm as one of the games. Pontiac Academy of Arts and Technology plays Harbor Beach at St. Clair Community College at 7pm!
In the D4 quarters Dollar Bay plays Pickford at Gladstone HS in one of the better matchups along with Colon vs Concord at Portage Northern HS at 7pm!

Regional semi's in books
We crowned District Champs last Friday night and kicked off Regional week on Monday night as we move through the post season State Tourney!
Wednesday night March 11 holds some great Regional Final matchups for the Girls teams!
In D1 we have Midland vs Muskegon at Alma HS at 7pm and Hudsonville vs Grand Haven at Zeeland East HS at 7pm. Detroit Renaissance vs Wayne Memorial at Renaissance HS at 7pm a rematch from back in December! DeWitt and Holt will meet for a 3rd time this year having split those two games as this will be at Holt HS at 7pm. Those are just a few of the D1 games!
In D2 we have as part of the double header at Alma HS Flint Powers vs Portland at 5:30pm
Petoskey vs Big Rapids is at Gaylord HS at 7pm!
Divine Child vs Carleton Airport is set for 6pm at Divine Child. Also, Goodrich vs Warren Regina are playing at North Branch at 7pm
There are also great matchups in D3 and D4 to catch up on that should be great finals!

State Champs crowned in all 3 Divisions!
We crowned all 3 Division State Champions over last weekend at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth!
In Division 1 we saw Detroit Catholic Central continue its domination winning it's 7th straight State Title in D1 defeating Northville HS 6-0! Catholic Central finished the season at 29-1-1 and were led by 3 juniors in the scoring! So look for them to be favored for their 8th next season!
In Division 2 we saw Flint Powers Catholic defeat Livonia Stevenson 4-1 as Powers won their 3rd title in the last 4 years!
Division 3 saw Houghton defeat Orchard Lake St. Mary's 5-2! This was Houghton's first hockey State Title since 1982! That was a long streak of 44 years!

Team Districts Feb. 11-12; team Regionals Feb. 18 and Individual Finals March 6-7 at Ford Field!
The States best teams and best Wrestlers have been busy so far this winter mastering their craft and working to move up the rankings both team and individual wise!
Detroit Catholic Central, Lowell, Dundee and Hudson all sit atop the 4 divisions so far this season! Familiar teams for sure in the Wrestling circuit. Other strong teams this early part of the season are Davison, Brighton, Three Rivers, Algonac in the top 2 Divisions.
In Division 3 and 4 you will see Yale, Allegan, Manchester and St. Louis all looking to get into the top spot by seasons end.
