This section we will cover the local Michigan High School teams as they play during their school seasons every Fall, Winter and Spring! We will highlight games and teams who are having successful seasons. We will also keep up with Team Rankings with our Top teams! to get out and watch!!
The State Finals are set as teams head
to Ford Field this Friday and Sunday
Well we had some good action in the Semi-Finals this past Saturday afternoon and Mother Nature cooperated with some decent weather! Some usual faces will be at Ford Field again and we will have some new teams heading there too!
Ford Field will host 4 games Friday and 4 games Sunday! Normally the Saturday is used but due to the Michigan State vs Maryland game at 7pm Saturday caused the move of the games! Here is what the schedule of the 2 days will look like:
Friday Nov. 28
9:30am - Division 8 Hudson (13-0) vs Harbor Beach (13-0)
12:30pm - Division 4 Hudsonville Unity Christian (12-1) vs Dearborn Divine Child (12-1)
4:00pm - Division 6 Kingsley (11-2) vs Jackson Lumen Christi (10-3)
7pm - Division 2 Orchard Lake St. Mary's (10-2) vs Dexter (12-1)
Sunday Nov. 30
9:30am - Division 7 Menominee (13-0) vs Schoolcraft (11-2)
12:30pm - Division 3 Mt. Pleasant (13-0) vs DeWitt (13-0)
4:00pm - Division 5 Grand Rapids West Catholic (12-1) vs Pontiac Notre Dame Prep (11-1)
7:00pm - Division 1 Detroit Catholic Central (13-0) vs Detroit Cass Tech (13-0)

Mercy, Country Day, Kingsley and Fowler win State Titles in Battle Creek!
Well another exciting High School Volleyball season has come to a conclusion this past Saturday in Battle Creek at Kellogg Arena! All day Thursday and Friday led up to 4 great State Finals inside Kellogg Arena Saturday! We saw some hardware handed out and teams left very excited and others a bit sad that the season came up one game short! Here are the final results
Farmington Hills Mercy in 4 sets defeated Bloomfield Hills in Division 1
Detroit Country Day in 3 sets defeated Flat Rock in the Division 2 final.
Kingsley in 4 sets defeated Kalamazoo Christian to take the trophy home in Division 3
Fowler in 3 sets defeated #1 Mendon to win the Division 4 Title!
What a great conclusion to a fun season for all the teams across the state.

State Champs crowned in
Boys Soccer last weekend
Well the excitement didn't falter in some of the most exciting Soccer State finals at Grand Ledge HS this past weekend as we crowned 4 Divisions!
First off in Division 1 Portage Central, behind it's 6'8" Goalkeeper Gunnar Thorhallsson, who recorded his 18th shutout on the season capturing the Title 1-0 in a shootout over Ann Arbor Huron! The victory was his schools first ever!
In Division 2 Warren DeLaSalle repeated as State Champs defeating Hudsonville UnityChristian 2-0. It was Unity Christians first loss of the season!
Division 3 saw Detroit Country Day defeat South Haven HS 4-1 to capture its 16th State Title and first since 2018.
Finally in Division 4 Leland HS defeated Grosse Pointe University Liggett 2-1 in a shootout! Exciting action all day long as teams realized their dreams come true!

Winter Sports practices start up for Boys Basketball
As we look to put closure on the MHSAA Fall Sports season we see the Winter Sports season starting to kick into gear! The Boys Basketball teams are forming inside a lot of high school gyms as teams start to condition and make cuts to form what is hopefully a strong basketball team this Winter!
First practices were Nov. 12 as teams prep to tipoff seasons on Dec. 1. Boys districts will start Feb. 23 with Regionals on March 3! Quarterfinals will be March 10 leading up to Semi Finals on March 12-13 and the State Finals inside the Breslin Center on March 14!
