Brawl in Charlotte dampens victory as
Duran and Stewart get suspension after!

The Charlotte Hornets came to challenge the Pistons in more ways then playing basketball.  Midway through the 3rd quarter things became heated as the big men from both teams came to blows.

Jalen Duran and Isaiah Stewart both received multiple game suspensions after the bench clearing brawl an ugly scene that happens way to much in the NBA these days!

Detroit prevailed in the end after trailing early 110-104!  They traveled to Toronto shart-handed tonight only to come out with their 40th victory 113-95!

This was their final game before this weekends All-Star break!  They will have 7 days off and return in a week(2/19) at the Knicks at 7:30pm!

Losers of 5 of 7 Red Wings welcome
the Olympic Break!

Having played their last game on Feb. 4 at Utah losing 4-1 the Detroit Red Wings welcome the Winter Olympics Break just in time.

Although the Wings still sit near the top of the Eastern Conference they will face a challenging

final 24 games when the season continues on Thursday Feb. 26 in Ottawa at 7pm!  It will be the first of 7 of 9 on the road that will take them to March 14 in Dallas vs the Stars!

On March 4 & 6 they will host the only 2 games in that stretch vs the Knights and Panthers at Little Caesars Arena.

That will be their first home game since Jan. 31!  Hopefully they can find their winning ways by then and be in the thick of it all.

Detroit Tigers bolster Pitching staff with
J. Verlander and F. Valdez signings!

After what was a pretty quiet off season the Detroit Tigers have made major news in the last week with the announcements of reinforcing their pitching staff.

First they signed left handed Framber Valdez from Houston for 3 years and $115 million.  Then a few days later they brought back their fan favorite and future Hall of Famer Justin Verlander to a 1-year 13 Million dollar deal.  That was all after Tarik Skubal won his Arbitration case earning him 32 Million for this year.

Just like that the TIger's organization have proven to the league they are serious about winning now and forming possibly one of the best Starting Rotations in the MLB!  With the likes of Skubal, Valdez, Flaherty, Verlander and Mize going to the mound every 5 days should strike fear into opposing lineups!

Either way this summer should be filled with excitement and should have fans dreaming of the Fall Classic again!

Pitchers and Catchers have reported and Spring ball is right around the corner!
